If you are traveling by car, start from Kirkwall, the main town in Orkney. Take the A961 road towards St. Margaret's Hope. Continue on the A961 until you reach the ferry terminal for Sanday (the ferry departs from the ferry terminal located at the end of the A961). The ferry ride to Sanday takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive on Sanday, follow the main road (the B9065) towards the village of Kettletoft. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Quoyness Chambered Cairn. The cairn is located a short distance from the village, and there is a small parking area nearby.

To reach Quoyness Chambered Cairn using public transportation, take a bus from Kirkwall to the ferry terminal at St. Margaret's Hope (bus services are available, check the local schedule for timings). After arriving at the ferry terminal, board the ferry to Sanday (ferry tickets can be purchased at the terminal). Once on Sanday, you can catch a local bus that will take you to Kettletoft.
