  If you're driving from Perthshire to the Scottish Parliament Building in Edinburgh, start by getting onto the M90 motorway from Perth. Follow the M90 south towards Edinburgh. After about 30 miles, merge onto the A720 (City of Edinburgh Bypass) towards the east. Continue on the A720 for about 10 miles, then take the exit towards A1/A7/A68. Merge onto the A1, then take the exit for Holyrood from the A1. Follow the signs for the Scottish Parliament Building. Note that parking is limited in this area, so be prepared to look for a nearby parking facility or use street parking if available. There may be parking fees depending on the location you choose.

  To reach the Scottish Parliament Building by public transportation, start by taking a train from Perth Station to Edinburgh Waverley Station. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 1 hour. Upon arriving at Edinburgh Waverley, exit the station and head towards the bus station located nearby. Take bus number 35 or 49, which will take you directly to the Scottish Parliament Building. The bus journey takes about 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, you can walk from Edinburgh Waverley to the Parliament Building, which will take approximately 20-25 minutes. Simply exit the station, head towards the Royal Mile, and follow the signs to Holyrood Park where the Parliament is located. Be sure to check for any travel costs for the train and bus; a one-way train ticket typically costs around £10-£15.
