Getting There

    If you are starting from Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station, exit the station and walk towards the Royal Mile. As you exit, you will see the iconic Scott Monument in front of you. Head left along Market Street and then take a right onto the Royal Mile. Continue walking up the Royal Mile for about 15 minutes, and you will arrive at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, located at the end of the street on your left.

    From Princes Street, walk to the nearest bus stop at 'Waverley Bridge' (which is right next to Waverley Station). Take the Lothian Buses number 3 or 33, which both head towards the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Holyrood Palace' bus stop, and you will find the entrance to the Palace directly in front of you.

    Board the tram at any station along the tram route, heading towards 'York Place'. If you're starting from the city center, get on at 'St Andrew Square' tram stop. Ride the tram for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the 'York Place' stop. From there, walk south towards the Royal Mile and take a left onto the Royal Mile, heading east for about 15 minutes until you reach the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
