If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Lairg, which is a central location in Sutherland. Head northwest on the A836 towards Tongue. After about 12 miles, turn left onto the B870 towards Clashnessie. Continue on the B870 for about 5 miles until you reach the parking area near the Clashnessie Falls trailhead. The falls are approximately a 10-minute walk from the parking area, though the path can be a bit boggy in places. Ensure your vehicle is parked in designated areas.

If you're relying on public transportation, take a bus from Lairg heading towards Durness. You may need to check the local bus schedules, as services can be infrequent. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Clashnessie Falls. From there, you will need to walk approximately 2 miles along the B870 road to reach the parking area for the falls. Keep in mind that this walk will take around 30-40 minutes, and the path may not always be suitable for pedestrians.
