Breathtaking Views at the Court of the Patriarchs Viewpoint

Getting There

• Walking

  From Bryce Canyon City, start at the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center located at 1 Visitor Center, Bryce Canyon City, UT 84764. Head south on UT-63 S for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-89. Continue straight, and you will see signs directing you towards Zion National Park. Walk for about 2.5 miles along the scenic route, which will lead you toward Springdale, UT. Once you reach Springdale, follow the signs to Zion National Park. The Court of the Patriarchs Viewpoint is located within Zion National Park, so you will need to enter the park. After entering, walk towards the shuttle stop designated for the Court of the Patriarchs Viewpoint. The viewpoint is a short walk from the shuttle stop.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, start from the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center and head south on UT-63 S. After about 0.5 miles, take a right onto US-89 S. Continue biking for approximately 2.5 miles until you enter Springdale. Follow the signs for Zion National Park. Upon arrival at the park entrance, you can lock your bike at the visitor center and catch the shuttle to the Court of the Patriarchs Viewpoint. The biking route is relatively flat and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

• Public Transport

  While there is no direct public transport from Bryce Canyon City to the Court of the Patriarchs Viewpoint, you can take a Greyhound or other bus service from Bryce Canyon to Springdale. Once in Springdale, you can catch the park shuttle that will take you directly to the Court of the Patriarchs Viewpoint. Make sure to check the shuttle schedule as it operates seasonally. Upon arriving at the viewpoint, enjoy the stunning views of the three prominent peaks that are reminiscent of biblical patriarchs.
