If you're in Tay Ho District, start by heading southeast towards Nghi Tàm Street. From there, you can follow Nghi Tàm Street down towards the intersection with Thanh Niên Street. Continue straight until you reach the West Lake area, where you can enjoy the scenic views. After that, take a left onto Thanh Niên Street, which will lead you directly towards the Ba Đình area. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Đội Cấn Street, where you will need to turn right. Follow Đội Cấn Street for about 1 kilometer, and look for signs pointing towards the One Pillar Pagoda, which is located in the park area next to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

Cyclo (Pedicab)
For a traditional Vietnamese experience, consider hiring a cyclo. You can find cyclo drivers near popular spots in Tay Ho District, or you can ask your hotel to arrange one. Once you’re in the cyclo, tell the driver to take you to One Pillar Pagoda (Chùa Một Cột). They will be familiar with the location. Expect to pay around 50,000 VND to 100,000 VND for the ride, depending on your starting point.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Tay Ho District. Start by heading towards the West Lake, then take the scenic route along the lakeside path. Follow the lakeshore until you reach the intersection with Thanh Niên Street, then turn left and ride straight to the Ba Đình area. Once you reach Đội Cấn Street, turn right, and you will soon see the One Pillar Pagoda. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow the traffic rules while cycling. Bicycle rentals typically cost around 30,000 VND to 50,000 VND per hour.

For a budget-friendly option, you can take the public bus. Look for bus number 14 or 18, which travels through Tay Ho District and heads towards the Ba Đình area. The nearest bus stop will be on Nghi Tàm Street. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the stop near the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. From there, it's a short walk to the One Pillar Pagoda. The bus fare is approximately 7,000 VND. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may vary.
