From the North Cascades National Park visitor center in Newhalem, head east on State Route 20 (WA-20) for approximately 12 miles. Follow the signs for Ross Lake National Recreation Area. Turn left onto the access road leading to the Ross Lake boat launch area, which is well-marked. This route will take you through scenic landscapes, so be sure to drive carefully and enjoy the views!

Public Transportation
Unfortunately, there is limited public transportation to the Ross Lake area. However, you can take a Greyhound or similar bus service to the nearest town, which is Rockport. From Rockport, you would need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Ross Lake National Recreation Area, which is approximately 10 miles away. Be sure to check the bus schedules and plan accordingly, as service may not be frequent.

If you have access to a boat, you can reach Ross Lake directly by water. There are boat launches available on both the north and south sides of the lake. Make sure to have a valid fishing license if you plan to fish, and check for any required permits for launching your boat.
