    Driving

    If driving, navigate to the village of Planoles or Err. From either village, follow the signs towards the hiking trails of Puigmal. Parking is available at designated areas near the trailheads, and is generally free. Be aware that the roads leading to the mountain can be narrow and winding, especially during winter.

    Public Transport

    While there is no direct public transport to the very base of Puigmal, you can take a train or bus to nearby towns like Ribes de Freser or Planoles. From Ribes de Freser, you can take the Cremallera de Núria rack railway to Vall de Núria, a popular starting point for hikes to Puigmal. A taxi from Ribes de Freser to a trailhead might cost around €20-€30. A return ticket on the Cremallera de Núria costs €33.50 for adults.

    Walking

    From the parking area at the base of the hiking trails, the final approach to the summit of Puigmal is on foot. Follow the marked trails, which vary in difficulty.
