Getting There

  • Driving

    From Grand Canyon Village, follow Desert View Drive (Highway 64 East) for approximately 22 miles. Lipan Point will be on your left, a short distance past Navajo Point. Parking is available at the viewpoint. Be aware that traffic can be heavy during peak season.

  • Public Transport

    Take the free South Rim shuttle bus system. From March through May and September through November, the Kaibab/Rim Route (Orange Route) stops at Yaki Point, from which you can access a free shuttle that will take you to the South Rim. From there, you can take the free shuttle to Lipan Point. Alternatively, during the summer months, take the Tusayan Route (Purple Route) from the South Rim Visitor Center to Tusayan, and transfer to a taxi for the final leg to Lipan Point. Taxi fares vary.
