From the Dürnstein Parkplatz P2, walk towards the town center through the Unterloiben gate. Continue along the main street (Hauptstrasse), keeping the Danube River to your left. The ferry landing is located on the riverbank. Walking from the parking area to the ferry takes approximately 5-10 minutes.

If arriving by bus (Line 715 from Krems or Melk), disembark at the Dürnstein Parkplatz P2. Follow the walking directions into the town center and to the ferry landing. A single bus fare within the Wachau region costs approximately €2-€11, depending on the distance. Consider purchasing a 'Wachau Day Ticket' for €12 if you plan to use the bus for further exploration of the valley.

The final step to reach the destination is to board the Dürnstein-Rossatz Motor Ferry. A one-way ticket for adults costs €3.50, and a return ticket costs €5.50. For a bicycle, a one-way ticket costs €2.00, and a return ticket costs €3.00. E-bikes cost €3.50 one way and €5.00 for a return. The ferry operates from April to October, with varying schedules depending on the month. During operating hours, the ferry travels back and forth as needed, with minimal waiting times unless there is high traffic.

Parking is available at the Dürnstein Parkplatz P2, located just outside the town walls. Parking fees are approximately €4 for 2 hours, with increasing rates for longer durations. Be aware that parking within the old town is restricted. From the parking lot, it's a short walk into the town center and to the ferry landing. Note that the city center of Dürnstein is a no-parking zone for cars.
