    Discover more about The Baths

The Baths, located at the southern tip of Virgin Gorda, are a geological marvel and a major tourist attraction in the British Virgin Islands. Millions of years ago, volcanic activity pushed molten rock to the surface, which slowly cooled and hardened into granite. Over time, erosion shaped these granite deposits into the massive boulders, some as large as houses, that define the area today. These colossal boulders create a unique landscape of tidal pools, tunnels, arches, and grottoes open to the sea. Visitors can explore the natural formations, swim in the sheltered pools, snorkel in the clear waters, and discover hidden chambers. A popular trail leads through the boulders from The Baths beach to the sandy expanse of Devil's Bay, offering a physically challenging but rewarding experience. The cavernous surroundings and the interplay of light and water create a surreal and unforgettable experience. Legend has it that pirates once used the hidden caves and narrow passages of The Baths as a secret hideaway. Today, The Baths are part of the Devil's Bay National Park and managed by the National Parks Trust of the Virgin Islands, ensuring the preservation of this natural wonder.
