Walking
From the center of Espargos, head south on Avenida Joaquim Silva towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida 5 de Julho. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Rua 1 de Maio. Turn left onto Rua 1 de Maio and continue for another 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Rua 15 de Agosto. Turn right onto Rua 15 de Agosto. PROJETO BIODIVERSIDADE is located in Santa Maria, which is about 5 kilometers from Espargos, so continue walking until you reach the bus terminal and take a local bus towards Santa Maria. After approximately 20 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off near the town center. From there, walk towards the beach and follow signs toward PROJETO BIODIVERSIDADE, which is situated close to the beach area.
Bus
At the main bus terminal in Espargos, find the bus heading to Santa Maria. Buses frequently depart throughout the day, so you shouldn't have to wait long. The fare is approximately 100 CVE (Cape Verdean Escudo). The journey to Santa Maria takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the terminal in Santa Maria, exit the bus and walk towards the beach area. Look for directional signs to PROJETO BIODIVERSIDADE, which is a short walk from the bus station along the coastal path.
