Walking
From downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, head west on Ocean Avenue towards the Pacific Ocean. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with San Carlos Street. Turn left onto San Carlos Street and continue until you reach 6th Avenue. Turn right onto 6th Avenue. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Mission Street. You will find the Carmel Plaza on your left, which is a good place to gather information and ask for directions. From there, you can ask locals for guidance to the nearest bus stop.

Public Transit (Bus)
Take the Monterey-Salinas Transit Bus Line 1 or Line 2 from the nearest bus stop in Carmel. Buses typically run every 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to go to Point Sur State Historic Park. The bus will take you along the scenic CA-1 route. Once you arrive at the designated stop for Point Sur, follow the signs leading to the park entrance. The walk from the bus stop to the park is about 5-10 minutes.

Biking
If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Start your ride by heading south on Ocean Avenue towards Scenic Road. Take Scenic Road and enjoy the beautiful coastline as you bike towards Point Sur State Historic Park. The ride is approximately 7 miles and will take about 30-40 minutes. Follow the bike paths along the highway for safety, and be sure to wear a helmet.
