Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Giant Forest area of Sequoia National Park, first head towards the Congress Trail. Walk past the General Sherman Tree and continue on the Congress Trail until you reach the junction with the Moro Rock Trail. From there, follow the signs to the Crescent Meadow. After enjoying the meadow, continue heading towards the main road, Generals Highway, and follow the trail signs that guide you toward the Grant Grove area. This is approximately a 5-mile walk, so be prepared with water and snacks.

  • Hiking

    For those starting in the Cedar Grove area, take the Cedar Grove Village Trail which leads you through scenic views and down to the Kings River. Continue on the trail towards the east heading towards Grant Grove. This hike is roughly 7 miles and offers beautiful vistas.
