Getting There

  • Hiking from Lodgepole Campground

    From Lodgepole Campground, start by taking the trail that leads towards the Giant Forest. Follow the signs for the 'Lakes Trail.' The trailhead is located near the visitor center. After approximately 2 miles, you will reach a junction. Here, take the right fork towards the 'Mosquito Lakes.' Continue on this path for about another 1.5 miles, following the trail which will lead you to the scenic Mosquito Lakes. The journey is moderately challenging but rewards you with beautiful views of the surrounding wilderness.

  • Hiking from Crescent Meadow

    Begin your hike at Crescent Meadow, which is accessible via footpaths from various points in the park. Look for signs for the 'Crescent Meadow Trail.' Hike about 1 mile until you reach the junction with the Lakes Trail. Take a left at the junction and follow the trail for approximately 2.5 miles.
