Driving
From Yosemite Valley, head east on Southside Drive (CA-41) for approximately 1.5 miles. Follow the signs for Tunnel View, which will direct you onto Wawona Road. Continue on Wawona Road for about 3 miles until you reach the Yosemite Valley Vista Point. Be aware that parking is limited and can fill up quickly, especially during peak season. Note that to drive into Yosemite National Park during peak hours (6:00 am–4:00 pm) between May 24 and September 1, 2025, you may need a reservation, which costs $2. This is in addition to the park entrance fee, which is $35 per vehicle, valid for seven days.

Public Transport
From various locations within Yosemite Valley, utilize the free Yosemite Valley Shuttle system. Take the shuttle towards the Glacier Point route and get off at the stop for the Yosemite Valley Vista Point. Check the shuttle schedule for the latest times, as they may vary throughout the season. The Yosemite Valley shuttle system is free and provides convenient access around Yosemite Valley. The Valleywide shuttle serves all stops in Yosemite Valley, including lodges, food service, campgrounds, and trailheads. Buses arrive every 12 to 22 minutes from 7 am to 10 pm.

Walking
If you enjoy hiking, you can walk from Yosemite Valley to Yosemite Valley Vista Point. This hike is approximately 3 miles and can take about 1.5 to 2 hours one way, depending on your pace. Start at the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center, follow the signs towards Glacier Point, and be prepared for some elevation gain. Make sure to carry water and snacks.
