Car
If you are driving from Villa de Leyva, take the road towards Arcabuco. Continue on the road for approximately 10 km until you reach the turn-off for 'Cascadas La Periquera.' Look for signs that indicate the direction to the waterfalls. Follow the signs, and after about 2 km, you will arrive at the parking area near the entrance. The access to the waterfalls is a short hike from the parking area.

Public Transportation
From Villa de Leyva, take a bus to Arcabuco, which departs regularly from the main bus station. The fare is approximately 4,000 COP (Colombian Pesos). Once you arrive in Arcabuco, you can hire a taxi to take you to 'Cascadas La Periquera' for about 15,000 COP. Alternatively, you can ask the driver to drop you off near the entrance where you can follow the signs to the waterfalls, which is about a 2 km hike.

If you are already in the vicinity of Arcabuco and prefer to walk, you can start your hike from the center of Arcabuco. Head towards the Villa de Leyva road and look for the signs leading to 'Cascadas La Periquera.' The hike is about 5 km from Arcabuco and will take you approximately 1.5 hours. It’s a scenic route, so enjoy the views along the way!
