To reach Caminatas al Chirripo using public transportation, take a bus from San José to San Isidro de El General. From San Isidro, transfer to a bus heading to San Gerardo de Rivas. Upon arrival in San Gerardo, walk 300 meters south of the Escuela San Gerardo de Rivas to find the Caminatas al Chirripo office on your right. The total bus fare from San José to San Isidro is approximately $5, and from San Isidro to San Gerardo, it's around $2.
