Walking
If you are already near Hitiaʻa O Te Ra, follow the local roads towards FJ82+668. Look for signs indicating the direction of the waterfalls. The walk is roughly 30 minutes from most locations in Hitiaʻa O Te Ra. The path may not be well-paved, so wear appropriate shoes.
Public Transport
From Papeete, head to the central bus station at Place Vai'ete. Take bus number 11 towards Hitiaʻa O Te Ra. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop closest to Fa'aruma'i Waterfalls. From the bus stop, walk towards FJ82+668; the waterfalls are about a 15-minute walk. Bus fare is approximately $1-2 USD.
Car
From Tiarei in Tahiti Iti, head south on Route 1 towards Hitiaa O Te Ra. Continue for about 10 kilometers and look for signs pointing to Fa'aruma'i Waterfalls. Turn onto the small road leading to the parking area. Parking is usually free.
