Public Transport
From Papeete, take the Line 1 public bus towards Pā'ea from the Papeete Bus Terminal. The bus ride takes approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Pā'ea and walk towards the Grottes de Mara'a, following signs or asking locals for directions. Bus fare is approximately 300 XPF.
Walking
Once in Pā'ea, head towards the coastline and follow signs to Grottes de Mara'a. The walk takes about 15-20 minutes. The caves are located along an unnamed road. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes.
Taxi/Ride-share
From Papeete, a taxi or ride-share to Grottes de Mara'a will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around 5,000-7,000 XPF. There is a parking lot at the site.
