From the center of Papeete, head towards the waterfront and locate the ferry terminal (Terminal Maritim). This is where you can catch a ferry to Moorea. Purchase a ticket for the next ferry to Moorea, which typically takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Moorea ferry terminal, exit the terminal and look for a local bus or shuttle service that can take you to Te'avaro. You can ask locals or ferry staff for the best options available. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you wish to go to Toatea Lookout. The bus ride will take around 30-40 minutes. After getting off at the nearest stop, you will need to walk approximately 15-20 minutes uphill to reach the lookout. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions as you approach the lookout.
