Car
To get to Toatea Lookout by car, start by driving on the main road towards the town of Teavaro. From the ferry terminal, follow the main road and signs towards Temae. The lookout is located 3.5 kilometers from the ferry dock, directly above Temae public beach. Parking is available near Toatea Lookout and is typically free. Be mindful of other visitors and follow any posted parking regulations.
Public Transport
To reach Toatea Lookout using public transportation, take a bus from the ferry terminal to the town of Teavaro. From the ferry quay at Vaiare, buses depart approximately at 08:30 AM, 1:15 PM, 4:30 PM, and 6:00 PM. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Toatea Lookout. The bus ride will take around 30-40 minutes. After getting off at the nearest stop, you will need to walk approximately 15-20 minutes uphill to reach the lookout. Bus fare is approximately 300 XPF per adult.
