Public Transport
From Papeete, take the local bus ('le truck') towards Papara. Buses frequently depart from the main bus station (Gare Routière) near the waterfront. Ensure the bus is heading towards Papara. The ride takes approximately 45-60 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest stop to 'Unnamed Road' in Papara. From there, walk approximately 1 kilometer along 'Unnamed Road' to reach Taharuu Beach. Bus fare is approximately 450 XPF. Be aware that bus schedules may vary, so check in advance for times and routes.
Walking
If you are already in Papara, you can walk to Taharuu Beach. From the center of Papara, head south along the main road (Unnamed Road Papara). It's about a 15-minute walk. Look for signs pointing towards the beach. The entrance will be on your right side. The path is straightforward, with beautiful scenery along the way.
Car
If driving from anywhere on Tahiti Iti, head towards the main road along the coast. Follow signs to Papara. Once in Papara, look for 'Unnamed Road' leading to Taharuu Beach. Continue on this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the beach. Free parking is available near the beach entrance, although spaces may be limited.
