If you are driving, head towards Salzburg city center. From the A1 motorway, take the exit towards Salzburg-Mitte. Follow the signs for 'Altstadt' (Old Town). From the parking garage, walk towards the Mönchsberg, where the fortress is located. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes uphill to reach the fortress entrance.

If you're using public transportation, take tram line 1 or 3 towards 'Salzburg, Altstadt' and get off at the 'Hauptbahnhof' (Main Train Station) stop.
