If you are driving from Georgetown, take the Linden-Soesdyke Highway (also referred to as the Linden Highway) heading towards Linden. After reaching Linden, continue on the road to the town of Mabura Hill. Follow the signs towards the Rupununi area and keep an eye out for the Iwokrama Forest Reserve sign. The reserve is located along the Rupununi Road, approximately 100 km from the town of Mabura Hill. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for rough terrain, as some sections of the road may be unpaved.

To reach Iwokrama Forest Reserve via public transportation, take a bus or minibus from Georgetown to Linden. From Linden, you will need to find a bus heading to Lethem which will stop at or near the Iwokrama Forest Reserve. Be sure to inform the driver of your destination. The bus fare from Georgetown to Linden is approximately 2,500 GYD, and from Linden to Lethem, it could cost around 5,000 GYD. Confirm the schedule for return trips, as services may be limited.
