Getting There

Walking
From the center of Assisi, head towards the Basilica di San Francesco. Walk along Viale Umberto I until you reach the intersection with Via Eremo delle Carceri. Turn left onto Via Eremo delle Carceri. Continue walking straight along this road for approximately 3 kilometers. You will pass by beautiful landscapes and some small chapels. The path will take you through a forested area that leads directly to Monte Subasio. As you approach the top, you will find signs guiding you to the viewpoint and the natural park area.

Bus
From the main square in Assisi (Piazza del Comune), walk to the nearest bus stop. Take the bus line that goes to Eremo delle Carceri. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the Eremo delle Carceri stop. From there, follow the signs indicating the hiking paths to Monte Subasio. The hike will take you approximately 30 minutes to reach the summit, where you can enjoy panoramic views.
