If you are driving from the center of Bungo, head south on Route 10 towards Saganoseki. Continue on Route 10 for approximately 20 km until you reach the intersection for Saganoseki. Turn right onto Route 217 and follow the signs for Sekizaki Ocean and Astronomical Observatory Hall. The observatory is located at 4057-419 Saganoseki, Oita, 879-2201. There is free parking available at the site.

To reach Sekizaki Ocean and Astronomical Observatory Hall via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Bungo's main bus terminal to Saganoseki. Buses typically run every hour and the fare is approximately 500 yen. Once you arrive at Saganoseki, you may need to take a local taxi to the observatory, as it is about 3 km from the bus stop. Taxi fares should be around 1000-1500 yen depending on traffic.
