Getting There

Train
From Hakata Station, take the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line towards Dazaifu. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Get off at Dazaifu Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and follow the signs to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. It is approximately a 15-minute walk from the station. Head straight along the main road, and you will see the entrance to the shrine on your left.

Bus
From Tenjin Station in Fukuoka, take the Nishitetsu bus bound for Dazaifu. The bus ride will take around 40 minutes. Get off at the Dazaifu bus stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. Follow the signs, taking the main path which leads directly to the shrine entrance.

Subway and Train
Start from Hakata Station and take the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line towards Nishi-Fukuoka. Change at Tenjin Station to the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line. Board the train to Dazaifu Station. The entire journey takes about 40 minutes. After exiting Dazaifu Station, walk for about 15 minutes along the main road towards Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, which will be on your left.
