If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Hitachi and head south on Route 6 (also known as the Joban Expressway) towards Tokyo. After approximately 1.5 hours of driving, take the exit towards Ueno and follow the signs for Uenosakuragi. The Shitamachi Museum Annex is located at 2 Chome-10-6号 Uenosakuragi, Taito City, Tokyo. Look for parking in the nearby areas as on-street parking may be limited. Be prepared for parking fees which can range from ¥300 to ¥600 per hour.

For those using public transportation, start at Hitachi Station. Take the JR Joban Line and head towards Ueno Station. The train ride will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Ueno Station, exit the station and walk towards the Ueno Park area. From there, you can either walk (approximately 15 minutes) to the Shitamachi Museum Annex located at 2 Chome-10-6号 Uenosakuragi, or take a local bus that stops near Uenosakuragi. Ensure you have some change for the bus fare, which is usually around ¥210.
