Car
If you're driving from central Izu, take Route 135 south towards Shimoda. Continue for about 30 km (approximately 40 minutes). Once you enter Shimoda, follow the signs for Kakisaki. Turn left onto Prefectural Road 17, and after about 1.5 km, you'll see Gyokusenji Temple on your left. There is parking available on site, but it can fill up quickly during weekends.

Public Transportation - Train and Bus
Start by taking the Izukyu Railway from Izu Station to Izukyu-Shimoda Station. This journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Izukyu-Shimoda Station, exit the station and find the bus stop for the Shimoda City Bus. Take the bus heading towards Kakisaki and get off at the 'Gyokusenji' stop. The bus ride should take around 10 minutes, and the fare is approximately 200 yen.

Public Transportation - Train and Walk
From Izu Station, take the Izukyu Railway to Izukyu-Shimoda Station. After exiting the station, you can walk to Gyokusenji, which is about a 30-minute walk (2.5 km) from the station. Head south on Route 135, then turn left onto Prefectural Road 17. Continue walking until you reach Gyokusenji on your left. Be aware that there are limited sidewalks in some areas, so watch for traffic.
