Car
If you're driving, start by heading towards Route 135 in Izu. From there, take the exit for Kawazu. Follow the signs to Kawazu town center, and then navigate to Shiroyama Park. Once you reach the base of Shiroyama Mountain, there is a parking area available. The parking fee is approximately 500 yen for a day. From the parking area, you will need to hike up the path to reach the Ruins Park of Kawazu Castle, which is about a 15-20 minute walk.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Izukyu Railway from Izu City to Kawazu Station. The train ride takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Kawazu Station, exit the station and look for the local bus that goes to Shiroyama Park (Shiroyama Koen). The bus ride costs around 250 yen and takes about 10 minutes. Get off at Shiroyama Park and follow the signs to the Ruins Park of Kawazu Castle, which is a short hike from the bus stop.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can take a leisurely stroll from Kawazu Station to the Ruins Park of Kawazu Castle. The distance is approximately 2 kilometers and will take around 30 minutes. Walk straight from the station towards the main road, then follow the signs to Shiroyama. The path is well-marked and offers scenic views along the way.
