    From central Kagoshima, head toward the Sakurajima ferry terminal located at 1-1, Nakanohiracho, Kagoshima. Follow signs for Sakurajima and take Route 3 toward the ferry terminal. The ferry ride to Sakurajima takes about 15 minutes and costs approximately 200 yen per person. Once on Sakurajima, continue on Route 58 for about 15 minutes. Follow the signs to Karasujima Observatory, which is located at the end of the road.

    Starting from Kagoshima Chuo Station, take the Kagoshima City Tram to the Sakurajima Ferry Terminal (approximately 20 minutes). The tram costs about 200 yen. Once at the terminal, board the Sakurajima ferry, which takes about 15 minutes and costs about 200 yen. After disembarking, take a local bus from the ferry terminal toward the Karasujima Observatory. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and the fare is around 300 yen.
