Car
From Kyoto countryside, take the Nara Expressway (also known as the Kinki Expressway) and head towards Nara. Follow signs for Nara City. Exit at the Nara IC (Interchange) and follow the signs to Nara Park. The journey should take around 45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Nara city, follow the signs to the Nara Park Management Office located at 543 Shibatsujicho, Nara, 630-8114. There is parking available near the office, but be mindful of any parking fees.

Public Transportation
From Kyoto Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line Limited Express towards Nara. The train ride will take approximately 45 minutes. After arriving at Nara Station, exit the station and walk towards the East exit. From there, you can either take a local bus towards Nara Park (bus number 2 or 4) or walk to the park, which takes about 30 minutes. If you choose to walk, head straight on Sanjo Street and follow the signs to Nara Park. The Nara Park Management Office is located at 543 Shibatsujicho, Nara, 630-8114, right inside Nara Park.
