If you are driving from central Kyoto, take the Kyoto City Loop Road (Route 162) heading towards Saga. Continue on Route 162 until you reach the exit for Saga-Toriimoto, then follow the signs to Okochi Sanso Garden. The garden is located at 8 Sagaogurayama Tabuchiyamacho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto, 616-8394. There is parking available near the entrance, and it usually costs around 500 yen per hour.

Public Transportation - Train and Bus
To reach Okochi Sanso Garden via public transportation, first take the JR Sanin Line from Kyoto Station to Saga-Arashiyama Station. This journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Saga-Arashiyama Station, exit the station and walk towards the bus stop located just outside. Take the Kyoto City Bus number 93 or 28 towards the 'Okochi Sanso' stop. The bus ride is approximately 10 minutes. After getting off at the 'Okochi Sanso' bus stop, the garden entrance is just a short walk away. Note that the total cost for this trip should be around 500 yen for the train and about 230 yen for the bus.
