Public Transportation
To reach Old Sugiura Jugo Residence via public transport, start at Kyoto Station. Take the JR Biwako Line (also known as the JR Kosei Line) towards Otsu. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at Otsu Station. From Otsu Station, you can take a local bus (Bus No. 20 or 21) towards Sugiuracho. The bus ride will take around 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Sugiuracho' stop, and from there, it's about a 10-minute walk to the residence located at 12-11 Sugiuracho. Be sure to check the bus schedule as they may run less frequently on weekends.
