If you're driving from Settsu to Otsu City Science Museum, start by taking Route 171 towards Otsu. Follow the signs for Otsu and keep straight for approximately 30 kilometers. Once you reach Otsu, look for signs directing you to the city center (Honmarucho). The museum is located at 6−50 Honmarucho, Otsu, Shiga 520-0814. There is parking available near the museum, but please check for any applicable parking fees, which are usually around 500 yen per hour.

For those using public transportation, start by heading to the nearest train station in Settsu, which is Settsu-Tonda Station. Take the JR Tōkaidō Main Line train towards Maibara. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at Otsu Station. From Otsu Station, you can take a bus or taxi to the museum. If you choose to take a bus, exit the station and look for the bus stop for the Otsu City Community Bus (Otsu Shimin Bus) and take the bus heading towards 'Otsu Shogaigakushu Center'. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer to take the bus directly from Settsu, find the nearest bus stop for the Otsu bound buses. You may need to transfer buses, so ask the driver or check the bus schedule for routes that go to Otsu. Once you arrive at Otsu, use local buses or taxis to reach the Otsu City Science Museum located at 6−50 Honmarucho. Be prepared for a fare of approximately 800 yen for the bus ride.
