If you are traveling by car, you can navigate to Ukimido (Floating Hall) using the address 1 Chome-16-18 Honkatata, Otsu, Shiga 520-0242. From central Wakasa, take Route 8 towards Otsu. Follow the signs for Otsu City and continue along Route 8 until you reach the intersection with Route 161. Turn left onto Route 161 and follow it until you see signs for Ukimido. There is parking available near the entrance, which may have a nominal fee.

Train and Walking
To reach Ukimido using public transportation, first head to Wakasa Station and take the train to Otsu Station. This trip usually takes about 40 minutes. From Otsu Station, exit and take a short bus ride on the Otsu City Loop Bus towards the 'Ukimido' stop. The bus fare is approximately 200 yen. After getting off at the Ukimido stop, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Floating Hall, which is located on the lakeside.

For a direct option, you can take a local bus from various points in Wakasa directly to the Ukimido area. Check the local bus schedule for routes that connect through Otsu. The bus ride may take around 30-50 minutes depending on your starting point. The fare will vary but generally costs between 500 to 800 yen.
