If you are driving from central Kyoto, take the Keiji Bypass (京都第二外環状道路) and merge onto the Route 1 towards Uji. Follow the signs for Uji Shrine. The shrine is located at 〒611-0021 Kyoto, Uji, Yamada−1, and there is parking available nearby. Expect to pay approximately 500-1000 yen for parking depending on the duration.

For those using public transportation, take the JR Nara Line from Kyoto Station towards Nara. Get off at Uji Station, which takes about 20 minutes. From Uji Station, it's a pleasant 15-minute walk to Uji Shrine. Just head south on the main street and follow the signs to the shrine.

Bus
You can also take the Kyoto City Bus to Uji. Board the bus at Kyoto Station, and take the number 202 or 207 route heading towards Uji. Disembark at the Uji Jinja (Uji Shrine) bus stop. The fare is around 230 yen. The shrine is just a short walk from the bus stop.
