    Getting There

    Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Nara. Get off at Uji Station (approximately 30 minutes). Once you arrive at Uji Station, take the East Exit. Walk straight for about 10 minutes along the main road, following signs towards Byodoin. The temple will be on your left at Renge-116 Uji, Kyoto 611-0021.

    Bus

    From Kyoto Station, take bus number 205 or 206 to the Uji bus terminal (approximately 40 minutes). After you get off, walk towards Uji City Hall. From there, follow the signs to Byodoin, which is about a 15-minute walk straight down the main road.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from Kyoto Station. Head towards the Keihan line and follow the river path towards Uji. It’s about a 10 km ride and should take around 45 minutes. Upon reaching Uji, follow the signs toward Byodoin, which is located at Renge-116 Uji, just a short distance from the river.
