Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From Kyoto Station, take Bus No. 28 bound for 'Arashiyama'. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Arashiyama' stop. From there, walk towards the Togetsukyo Bridge, which is a famous landmark. Cross the bridge and continue straight; you will see signs directing you to the Bamboo Grove. The entrance is located just a short walk past the bridge.

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR San-In Line to Saga-Arashiyama Station. The train ride takes about 15 minutes. Upon arrival, exit the station and walk towards the north. Follow the signs leading to the Bamboo Grove. It will take approximately 10-15 minutes on foot to reach the entrance of the Bamboo walkway.
