Begin your journey at Kyoto Station. Board the JR San-In Line (also known as the JR Sagano Line) towards Saga-Arashiyama. The train ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at Saga-Arashiyama Station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the 'Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.'

After arriving at Saga-Arashiyama Station, exit the station and head towards the main road. You will see a tourist information center on your left. From there, walk straight along the main street until you reach the iconic Togetsukyo Bridge (about a 10-minute walk). Cross the bridge, and you will find the entrance to the bamboo grove just a short distance beyond the bridge. Follow the path into the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, where you'll be surrounded by towering bamboo stalks.

If you prefer to take a bus, from Kyoto Station, take bus number 28 towards 'Arashiyama.' The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the 'Arashiyama' stop.
