Getting There

  • Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Biwako Line (also known as the JR Tōkaidō Line) towards Maibara. Ride for approximately 30 minutes and get off at Koka Station. After exiting the station, turn left and head towards the bus stop. Take the Shiga Bus bound for Koka City Hall and get off at Ryuboshi (龍星) bus stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Koka Ninja House, located at 2331 Konancho Ryuboshi.

    From Kyoto Station, you can also take a direct bus from the Kyoto Station Bus Terminal. Look for buses headed toward Koka or Koka Ninja House specifically. This option may take around 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Koka Ninja House bus stop, you will find the house is nearby, and you can easily walk to the entrance.

  • Bicycle

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Kyoto. Head east towards the Kamo River and follow the river north until you reach the outskirts of the city. Continue along the roads that lead to Koka. It may take about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Koka Ninja House, but the scenic ride is worth it.
