Getting There

Car
If you're driving from Kyoto city center, take the Meishin Expressway. Exit at Otsu IC and follow Route 161 towards Otsu. After about 15 minutes, turn left onto Route 477, which leads to Ishiyamanangocho. Continue on Route 477 for about 10 minutes until you reach Tachiki-Kannon An’yō-ji, which will be on your right. There is parking available at the temple.

Public Transportation
Start at Kyoto Station and take the JR Biwako Line (also known as the JR Kosei Line) towards Otsu. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Otsu Station. From there, take the bus No. 11 towards Ishiyama-dera. Get off at the 'Ishiyama' bus stop, which is about a 20-minute ride. After disembarking, walk for about 10 minutes following the signs to Tachiki-Kannon An’yō-ji, which will be on your left side as you approach.
