Getting There

    If you are starting from Kyoto Station, exit the station and head north to the Karasuma Oike Station. Take the subway Tozai Line (light blue line) towards Uzumasa Tenjingawa. Get off at the Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station. From there, walk north on the Karasuma Street until you reach the Imperial Palace. Oikeniwa (Pond Garden) is located within the grounds of the Kyoto Imperial Palace at Kyotogyoen, Kamigyo Ward. Look for signs leading to the garden as you enter the palace grounds.
