Getting There

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line (the green line) to Marutamachi Station. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Marutamachi Station, take Exit 1. After exiting, turn left and walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Horikawa Street. Cross the street to reach the Kyoto Gyoen National Garden entrance.

    Once you've entered the Kyoto Gyoen National Garden, continue walking straight. Follow the main path through the garden, which should lead you towards the Jomei-mon Gate.
