Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line (subway) towards Kokusaikaikan Station. Get off at Shijo Station (approximately 10 minutes). At Shijo Station, take Exit 1 and then head west along Shijo-dori Street until you reach the intersection with Karasuma-dori. Turn left onto Karasuma-dori and walk north for about 5 minutes until you reach the first intersection. Continue straight until you reach Nakajimacho Street, where you will find the Statues of Yaji-san & Kita-san in Nakagyo Ward.

    If you are near the Nishiki Market, you can walk to the Statues of Yaji-san & Kita-san. Head west from Nishiki Market towards Shijo-dori, then turn left and walk south for about 5 minutes until you reach Nakajimacho Street. The statues are located at the end of this street, and you will recognize them easily due to their unique appearance.

  • Bicycle

    If you have rented a bicycle, you can ride from the Kyoto Imperial Palace area. Head south on Marutamachi Street, then turn right onto Karasuma-dori. Continue south until you reach Shijo-dori. Turn left and ride east along Shijo-dori until you reach Nakajimacho Street. The Statues of Yaji-san & Kita-san will be on your right side.
