Getting There

  • Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Nara. The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Uji Station. Once you exit Uji Station, head towards the station's north exit. You will see a sign for Uji Bridge. It’s about a 10-minute walk straight from the station. Follow the road past the Uji River and you'll arrive at Uji Bridge.

  • Bus

    From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus (No. 28) towards Uji. The bus ride will take around 45 minutes. Get off at the Uji Bridge stop. From there, the bridge is just a short walk away. Cross over the street and you will see the bridge ahead; it's easily accessible from there.

  • Bike

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle near Kyoto Station. Head south towards the Kamo River and follow the river until you reach Uji. The distance is about 12 km and will take roughly 1 hour depending on your pace. Once you reach Uji, follow signs to Uji Bridge which is located near the river.
