If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Settsu and use the Hanshin Expressway. Take the exit toward Kyoto and continue on Route 1. Follow the signs for Shimogyo Ward. Once you reach the city center, navigate to Bomoncho. Specifically, look for 仏光寺通 (Bukkōji-dōri) and head west. The destination will be at 803 Bomoncho, located on the right side of the street. Keep an eye out for parking options nearby, as street parking can be limited. Expect to pay around 500-1000 yen for parking depending on the duration.

Public Transportation
To reach Kimyoin by public transportation, first head to Settsu-Tonda Station. From there, take the JR Tokaido Main Line to Kyoto Station. The journey should take approximately 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Line of the Kyoto Subway. Ride the subway towards Kokusaikaikan and get off at Shijo Station. Exit the station and head south toward the intersection with Karasuma-dori. From there, walk west on Bukkōji-dōri for about 15 minutes. The temple will be on your right at 803 Bomoncho.
