Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Settsu to Kyoto Samurai Experience/和樂Waraku, start by heading southeast on Route 170. Continue on Route 170 for approximately 15 kilometers. As you approach Kyoto, keep an eye out for signs for 'Kyoto City Center'. Merge onto Route 1 and follow the signs for 'Nakagyo Ward'. Once you reach Nakagyo Ward, look for Inabacho Street. The Samurai Experience is located at 111 Inabacho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, 604-8803. There is limited street parking available nearby, so plan accordingly. Be aware that parking fees may apply.

    To reach Kyoto Samurai Experience/和樂Waraku using public transportation, start by heading to the nearest train station in Settsu, such as Settsu-Motoyama Station. Take the Hankyu Takarazuka Line towards Kawaramachi. After approximately 30 minutes, transfer at Kawaramachi Station to the Kyoto Subway. Board the Karasuma Line towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Shijo Station (about a 5-minute ride). From Shijo Station, take Exit 3 and walk west on Shijo Street towards Karasuma Street. Turn right onto Karasuma Street and walk until you reach Inabacho Street. The Samurai Experience is located at 111 Inabacho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, 604-8803. The total cost for the train journey will be around 600-700 yen.

    From Settsu, you can also take a bus to Kyoto. Head to the nearest bus stop and take a local bus heading towards Kyoto Station. The journey may take around 40-60 minutes depending on traffic. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus. Take bus number 205 to the 'Karasuma Oike' stop. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the Samurai Experience. Walk east on Oike Street until you reach Karasuma Street, then turn left and continue until you reach Inabacho Street. The address is 111 Inabacho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, 604-8803. The total bus fare will be around 500-600 yen.
