Car
If you're driving from Settsu to Tōfuku-ji Temple, take the Hanshin Expressway Route 1 towards Kyoto. Follow the signs for Kyoto and merge onto the Kyoto Outer Loop (Rte 1). Take exit 11 towards Higashiyama and continue on Rte 1. Follow the signs for Tōfuku-ji Temple. There is parking available near the temple, but be aware that it may incur a fee, typically around ¥500 for a few hours.

Public Transportation - Train
To reach Tōfuku-ji Temple using public transportation, start by heading to the nearest train station in Settsu, such as Settsu-Tonda Station. Take the Hankyu Takarazuka Line to Juso Station, and transfer to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line towards Nakamozu. Get off at Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Tōfukuji Station. The temple is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Follow the signs toward Tōfuku-ji; you can also use a mapping app for precise walking directions. The total cost for this trip is approximately ¥600.

Public Transportation - Bus
Alternatively, you can take a bus from Settsu to Tōfuku-ji Temple. Start at Settsu City Hall bus stop and take the bus heading towards Kyoto. Make sure to check the bus schedule as service can be infrequent. You will need to get off at the nearest bus stop to Tōfuku-ji Temple, which is usually Tōfuku-ji-mae. The temple is a short walk from the bus stop. The fare for the bus ride is around ¥400.
