Car
If you're driving from Shirakawa-go to Senkoji Temple, start by heading south on Route 156. Follow this route for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach Takayama. Once you arrive in Takayama, continue on Route 158 towards Gifu. After about 5 kilometers, turn left onto Route 471. Continue on this road for another 3 kilometers until you reach the temple. There is parking available near the temple, but be aware that it may fill up quickly during peak tourist seasons.

To reach Senkoji Temple via public transportation, take a bus from Shirakawa-go to Takayama. The Nohi Bus operates services between Shirakawa-go and Takayama, and the journey takes approximately 50 minutes. When you arrive at Takayama Station, transfer to the Hida Bus bound for Nyukawacho. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Senkoji Temple' bus stop, which is directly in front of the temple. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they can vary, especially on weekends and holidays.
